Effective & accessible therapeutic support

Many individuals prefer to have their counselling session online instead of face to face in person. They find that the sessions are equally as beneficial and helpful, and are a particularly effective alternative form of therapeutic support in the current climate where we are all making our best individual efforts to adhere to social distancing.

What is an online counselling session like?

The counselling session will be similar in almost every other way to a traditional face to face counselling session, but instead of being in the same room, the session will take place online in the form of a video call through an online platform called Cisco Webex.

Each session will last 50 minutes to one hour. The cost for each session is €60.

Cisco Webex

I have recently moved from using Skype as an online platform for online counselling sessions to Cisco Webex.

Cisco Webex is one of the leading providers of online video conferencing for professionals. By using Cisco Webex for all online counselling sessions, clients of Present Moment Counselling & Psychotherapy are assured of the highest levels of privacy and security during their session, as well as an online video call that has been designed to be simple and easy to use.

Please see the information at the bottom of this page for steps in setting up and using Cisco Webex.

Introductory session

In order to ensure that you are entirely comfortable with the format of online counselling, and to help you decide if I am the right counsellor for you, we can schedule an initial free 20 minute online consultation together before you go ahead and book your first counselling session.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if this is something you would like to avail of.

Feedback on online counselling with Present Moment

“I had counselling with Esther via Skype. I really liked having sessions from the comfort of my own home as I was more comfortable to share and open up. Not being face-to-face was not an issue at all and it was really easy to communicate. I came to Esther in a dark and stressful time of my life, and she helped me to rebuild myself. She showed me compassion, gave me perspective and taught me how to love myself again. Working with Esther was the best decision I made to get me out of tough times – for this I will always be grateful!”
